St
Anne's Catholic Social Centre was re-opened in January 2011 by a group of parishioners from
St. Anne's and Our Lady of Victories. It is now called the Keighley Catholic Centre and the ground floor is a Community Cafe, with a small meeting room, space for private consultations and disability access will be installed soon.
The upstairs will continue to be used as a function room and enquiries for bookings can be made by contacting Arlene Woollard: Telephone: 01535 644481.
The centre will be run by the Keighley parishes; the Cafe will provide a warm, friendly space where the dignity of everyone is paramount and where physical, emotional and spiritual care can be offered to all who have need of support.
It will also provide a venue for voluntary groups and for educational activities. Support and advice for family problems will be made available in conjunction with Catholic Care and the Diocese.
In addition the Centre can be used by other branches of the Voluntary sector, Libraries, Health and Educational Services.
Tea, coffee and soup are served at the Centre every Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 1pm. A
Bring & Buy Sale each Saturday - All Welcome. The Centre has also started a 200 Club - details at the church entrance or contact Arlene the booking secretary.
Volunteers are still required to continue the renovation and help with catering and cleaning - CAN YOU HELP?
If you cannot give your time for the above, can you offer your support by helping to finance the project?
Ideas and help with fundraising would be greatly appreciated.
